Rev. Kenneth Harbaum
About Rev. Kenneth Harbaum
Kenneth Harbaum is a man with deep convictions. His desire is to see God’s people set free and walk in His fullness. God has anointed Pastor Harbaum with signs following. As he ministers, anointed by the Holy Spirit, many are touched and set free by God’s Power.
At the age of thirteen, Kenneth received the call from God to the mission field. Even today the call burns within his heart, knowing he will preach the Gospel to the nations. His work in the ministry began at a young age of 17 while still in high school. His Father in the Faith and then Pastor, Raymond Rothwell, gave him his first opportunity to develop this calling. Upon graduating from high school, Kenneth enrolled at Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he completed their two-year program. He then returned to his home church where he served as the Associate Pastor for six years.
After serving in many areas of ministry, in September of 1993, Reverend Harbaum founded Lightnings of God Ministries Int’l. In January of the following year he began missions work by traveling to Kenya, East Africa. He continues to travel to and from Kenya doing mostly evangelistic open air meetings with a heart to share the Good News and the love of Jesus Christ with those who have never heard it. During this time, the Lord was also dealing with Pastor Harbaum to do more in the area of training pastors and church leaders to better equip their very own people in spreading the Word of God.
After much prayer and guidance from the Holy Spirit, Pastor Harbaum returned to his home church of Full Gospel Temple in July of 2006 as the Senior Pastor. His primary focus is on building firm foundations for strong families. He accomplishes this by teaching people who they are in Christ, living a life in the Spirit and fulfilling their calling.
In 2008, Pastor Harbaum fulfilled a lifelong goal to establish a means of providing missionaries with practical management services so they can focus on ministry. He established this administrative ministry through Covenant Global Evangelism (CGE). CGE’s purpose is to keep missionaries in the field with little concern about how they will keep in contact with their partners and handling resources given for their overseas ministry.
After much prayer and confirmation for God, the name of Full Gospel Temple was changed to Covenant of Peace Church on January 1, 2015. The mission and vision of the church remains the same. The name of the church was changed to reflect the covenant of God’s peace that we as believers share with our heavenly father.
Today, thanks to his friends and partners in ministry, Lightnings of God Ministries still puts an intense effort into fulfilling the call by taking qualified teams into Kenya and conducting seminars for pastors and leaders. The growth of Lightnings of God Ministries has included a Branch Office in Kenya along with local churches under the name of Covenant of Peace Church.
Pastor Harbaum is honored to serve on Dr. Mark T. Barclay’s President Cabinet for the Righteous Preachers Network. Pastor Harbaum is also the Director of the World Missions Department for the Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches and Ministers Int’l.
